About this piece
Handwoven wool kilim rug, 121 × 186 cm (4'0" x 6'1"), plant dyed and reversible. A light cream field with a calm lattice of blue diamonds, framed in red and green.
Positive and negative spaces alternate, so pattern and ground flow into each other. Blue from indigo, red from madder, green from indigo and weld.
Woven double-sided, so both sides can be used. The light field makes it easy to place in modern, calm rooms, under a coffee table or in front of the bed.

Good to know
Untreated wool smells faintly of wool at first; two or three days of fresh air take care of it. Care: shake out regularly, blot spills right away with clear water.
The natural lanolin in the wool keeps dirt out. The wool gets no chemical finish.
