About this piece
Handwoven wool kilim rug, 127 × 181 cm (4'2" x 5'11"), plant dyed and reversible. Two large diamonds in red, white and blue on a light blue ground, framed by a cream border.
Three lines in red, blue and cream run around the two large diamonds. At the edge the running-water motif is woven once in light blue with indigo abrash, once in madder red.
Works in front of a sofa, under a coffee table, beside the bed or under a desk.

Good to know
A light wool smell at the start is a sign of untreated wool and fades after two or three days of fresh air. Care: shake out, blot spills with clear water.
The natural lanolin in the wool keeps dirt out. The wool gets no chemical finish.
