About this piece
Handwoven wool kilim rug, 122 × 180 cm (4'0" x 5'11"), plant dyed and reversible. Stepped diamonds with a cross in the middle, repeated evenly across the whole rug.
The black is the natural colour of black sheep's wool, the cream comes from weld. The grey ground with its abrash comes from the weaver mixing cream and black threads.
In front of a sofa, between two beds, under a desk or in a wide entryway.

Good to know
Untreated wool smells faintly of wool at first; two or three days of fresh air take care of it. Care: shake out regularly, blot spills right away with clear water.
The natural lanolin in the wool keeps dirt out. The wool gets no chemical finish.
