About this piece
Handwoven wool kilim rug, 125 × 175 cm (4'1" x 5'9"), plant dyed and reversible. Five columns of cream diamonds on an earthy ground, framed by a border of panels in orange, grey, beige and red.
The elephant grey comes from pomegranate peel with iron, the orange and red from madder, the cream from weld. Each panel of the border carries a hexagon with its own motif.
In front of a sofa, under a desk, beside the bed, in a kitchen or on the wall.

Good to know
Untreated wool smells faintly of wool at first; two or three days of fresh air take care of it. Care: shake out regularly, blot spills right away with clear water.
The natural lanolin in the wool keeps dirt out. The wool gets no chemical finish.
