About this piece
Handwoven wool kilim rug, 125 × 182 cm (4'1" x 6'0"), plant dyed and reversible. Seventeen diagonal bands in changing colours, each with its own motif.
Alongside madder, weld and indigo the weaver used natural brown and natural white wool, undyed. No band matches its neighbour: brown with orange, cream with blue, green with red.
A lively eye catcher in front of the sofa, in an entryway, under a desk or beside the bed.

Good to know
A light wool smell at the start is a sign of untreated wool and fades after two or three days of fresh air. Care: shake out, blot spills with clear water.
The natural lanolin in the wool keeps dirt out. The wool gets no chemical finish.
