About this piece
Handwoven wool kilim rug, 102 × 146 cm (3'4" x 4'9"), plant dyed and reversible. Black lines form red and beige diamonds in the field, framed by a grey border with hexagons.
The grey of the border comes from pomegranate peel with iron, the black lines are natural black wool. Two running-water bands run around the edge, one in green, one in madder red, both with abrash.
A strong eye catcher for an entryway, hallway, in front of a sideboard or beside the bed.

Good to know
Untreated wool smells faintly of wool at first; two or three days of fresh air take care of it. Care: shake out regularly, blot spills right away with clear water.
The natural lanolin in the wool keeps dirt out. The wool gets no chemical finish.
