About this piece
Handwoven wool kilim rug, 100 × 148 cm (3'3" x 4'10"), plant dyed and reversible. Columns of madder orange and indigo blue diamonds alternate, warm beside cool.
The warm columns carry motifs in cream and blue, the cool ones motifs in red and beige. The alternation gives the pattern rhythm without looking busy.
For an entryway, beside the bed, in front of a console or under a small table.

Good to know
A light wool smell at the start is a sign of untreated wool and fades after two or three days of fresh air. Care: shake out, blot spills with clear water.
The natural lanolin in the wool keeps dirt out. The wool gets no chemical finish.
