About this piece
Handwoven wool kilim rug, 81 × 128 cm (2'8" x 4'2"), plant dyed and reversible. Just two colours, blue grey and cream, in seven columns of interlocking diamonds.
The blue grey with its abrash comes from pomegranate peel with iron, the cream from weld. Columns in both colours alternate, each diamond holding a small motif.
Calm enough for modern rooms: in an entryway, hallway, beside the bed or in the kitchen.

Good to know
Untreated wool smells faintly of wool at first; two or three days of fresh air take care of it. Care: shake out regularly, blot spills right away with clear water.
The natural lanolin in the wool keeps dirt out. The wool gets no chemical finish.
