About this piece
Handwoven wool kilim rug, 83 × 120 cm (2'9" x 3'11"), plant dyed and reversible. A dark blue field of colourful diamonds, with a green border of red diamonds at the sides.
The green with its abrash comes from indigo and weld, the red from madder. In the field every diamond holds a motif in a contrasting colour: green in cream, peach in orange, orange in red.
For an entryway, a narrow hallway, beside the bed or in front of an armchair.

Good to know
A light wool smell at the start is a sign of untreated wool and fades after two or three days of fresh air. Care: shake out, blot spills with clear water.
The natural lanolin in the wool keeps dirt out. The wool gets no chemical finish.
