About this piece
Handwoven wool kilim rug, 86 × 124 cm (2'10" x 4'1"), plant dyed and reversible. One large diamond in red and blue on a natural ground, with stepped chevrons above and below.
The wide border is woven from undyed wool in cream and brown, which gives it a natural abrash, with two rows of red and blue motifs. On the outside runs the running-water motif in light indigo blue.
For an entryway, a landing, in front of the kitchen sink or beside the bed.

Good to know
A light wool smell at the start is a sign of untreated wool and fades after two or three days of fresh air. Care: shake out, blot spills with clear water.
The natural lanolin in the wool keeps dirt out. The wool gets no chemical finish.
