About this piece
Handwoven wool kilim rug, 84 × 131 cm (2'9" x 4'4"), plant dyed and reversible. Diamonds in orange, charcoal and elephant grey on a cream ground.
The grey comes from pomegranate peel with iron, the orange from madder, both with abrash; the ground is dyed with weld. At the edge orange and grey form two different motifs through positive and negative space.
For an entryway, a landing, in front of a console, in the kitchen or beside the bed.

Good to know
A light wool smell at the start is a sign of untreated wool and fades after two or three days of fresh air. Care: shake out, blot spills with clear water.
The natural lanolin in the wool keeps dirt out. The wool gets no chemical finish.
