About this piece
Handwoven wool kilim rug, 108 × 150 cm (3'7" x 4'11"), plant dyed and reversible. On a black ground a single motif repeats, each time in different colours.
The ground is natural black, undyed wool. The motifs are red, yellow, green, blue, orange and beige, all plant dyed, and some show a grey abrash from pomegranate peel with iron.
A lively eye catcher in front of the fireplace, in an entryway, beside the bed or in a study.

Good to know
Untreated wool smells faintly of wool at first; two or three days of fresh air take care of it. Care: shake out regularly, blot spills right away with clear water.
The natural lanolin in the wool keeps dirt out. The wool gets no chemical finish.
