About this piece
Handwoven wool kilim rug, 100 × 158 cm (3'3" x 5'2"), plant dyed and reversible. Rust red lines form a lattice of diamonds in sage green and cream, framed by a cream border with hexagons.
Inside the diamonds sit motifs in natural white, green and a soft peach from madder. The running-water motif on the outside is woven in indigo blue beside orange.
For an entryway, beside the bed, under a small table, in a reading corner or on the wall.

Good to know
A light wool smell at the start is a sign of untreated wool and fades after two or three days of fresh air. Care: shake out, blot spills with clear water.
The natural lanolin in the wool keeps dirt out. The wool gets no chemical finish.
