About this piece
Handwoven gabbeh kilim rug in undyed, hand-spun sheep's wool, 100 × 150 cm (3'3" x 4'11"). Light frames in cream and beige, flat weave alternating with raised lines of pile.
The weaver combined plain kilim weave with gabbeh knots and worked freely, without a drawing. The fine shifts in tone are the natural colours of the wool.
Suits minimalist, Scandinavian and Japandi rooms, in front of a sofa or beside the bed.

Good to know
Untreated wool smells faintly of wool at first; two or three days of fresh air take care of it. Care: shake out regularly, blot spills right away with clear water.
The natural lanolin in the wool keeps dirt out. The wool gets no chemical finish.
