About this piece
Handwoven gabbeh rug in undyed, hand-spun sheep's wool, 100 × 150 cm (3'3" x 4'11"). A light, soft gabbeh in cream with gentle grey and brown shading and a small animal.
Woven freely, without a drawing. The pile is cut short and bound with many weft rows, so the gabbeh lies flat and drapes softly.
Pleasant underfoot in a bedroom, in front of a sofa or in a reading corner.

Good to know
A light wool smell at the start is a sign of untreated wool and fades after two or three days of fresh air. Care: shake out, blot spills with clear water.
The natural lanolin in the wool keeps dirt out. The wool gets no chemical finish.
